Canoe & Kayak Guided Tours

Reservation required, limited space. Please arrive 20 minutes prior to tour departure time.  Sorry dogs are not allowed on guided tours only self guided tours.

All prices include paddles, life jacket and shuttle upriver. We can also shuttle your personal boat upriver – $15 per boat. Prices subject to change without notice. Canoes can hold up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 smaller children (combined weight 150 lbs)

NEW! E-bikes & Boats! Friday and Saturday

This NEW self-guided tour is the perfect combination of half pedaling and half paddling. Starting at the Johnson trail-head of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, ride on new, fast and efficient electric bikes to Vermont Canoe & Kayak’s outpost ( approx. 30-40 minutes) in Jeffersonville. Then, choose your own boat and paddle 4.5 miles of scenic river (approx. 1.5 hours). Feel free to pack a picnic lunch and eat on the river! After your float, hop on your speedy e-bike and head back to Johnson. You will have plenty of time to explore both the Rail Trail and the Lamoille River at your own pace. If you cannot do both activities on the same day, no problem! Receive a voucher to paddle one day and bike another day. Call for times and availability. E-Bikes & Boats: $80/person

Morning Maple Tour, Tuesday 9:30 – 12:00

A one and half hour morning paddle downriver will take you to the Maple Outlet in Jeffersonville where you will learn about the process of making maple syrup, see a live beehive, enjoy a true maple creemee or fresh gourmet Brown & Jenkins’ coffee and take home a maple goodie. Morning Maple Tour: $55 per person

SUP River Trip, Thursday 9:30 – 11:30 am

Ever tried a Stand Up Paddleboard on a river? If not, this is the tour for you.  You will have a guide to help you navigate the 4.5 miles on the Lamoille River on a SUP.  It is really easier than you might think. Limit 10 people. SUP River Trip: $50 per person

SUP Yoga, Tuesday 10:00 – 11:30 am

What better way to enjoy the art of Yoga than flopaddleboardyoga_webHDating on a paddleboard on a beautiful, calm, serene private pond in the mountains of Vermont! Practice traditional poses on the water along with free time to Stand Up Paddleboard.  Never tried either? No problem – this is geared toward all levels from beginners to advanced as you challenge yourself. It’s easier than you think. Limit 10 people.  SUP Yoga: $40 per person

Kayaks & Cocktails, Monday 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Similar, but different from our popular Water & Wine tour, you will paddle down a different stretch of the Lamoille River in kayaks or canoes ending at our outpost. Your guide will then take you to the Smugglers’ Notch Distillery in Jeffersonville where you will be treated to a private tour and tasting of their quality spirits – vodka, gin, rum, rye and bourbon!! Feel free to purchase a bottle or gifts to take home.  Kayaks and Cocktails: $55 per person

Morning River Kayak, Wednesday 9:00 – 11:00 am, Saturday 9:00 – 11:00 am

An excellent start to your day. Your guide will take you down a scenic 4.5 mile stretch of the Lamoille River at a leisurely pace. You will have your choice of single or tandem(2 person) kayaks.  This is a great opportunity for beginning paddlers with little or no experience to enjoy the river. We have boats for ages 8 and up.  Morning River Kayak: $50 per person

Ice Cream Float, Tuesdays 1:00 – 3:30 pm

What could be a more relaxing and enjoyable combination than a family canoe trip with a special stop along the way to eat ice cream! Spend an afternoon  in canoes paddling and enjoying one of Vermont’s finest rivers and some yummy ice cream. Great for families and big kids at heart.  Canoes hold up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 smaller children w/combined weight of 150 lbs. Ice Cream Float: $90 per canoe

Water & Wine, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

One of our most popular tours, The Water & Wine combines a 1 1/2 hour paddle in the boat of your choice from our outpost to the Boyden Valley Winery in Cambridge.  At the winery you will be treated to a private wine tour, wine tasting and a platter of Vt cheddar cheese and french bread.  You are also free to purchase wine at that time if desired.  Your guide will bring you back to your car after your stay at the winery.  Water & Wine: $60 per person
